GEDDIT
Geddit is a free student response app and web tool for gauging understanding. Using a Chromebook or any web connected device, students can select their range of understanding on a scale from 1 to 5, giving teachers a quick glimpse of who understood the information and whether it is okay to move on. Student feedback is private and in real time so that teachers can identify needs and adjust their approach. With Geddit, teachers can:
- Create short quizzes for instant feedback
- Message students through the app with links to further content, links, or help
- Track progress over time to share with parents and the students themselves
SOCRATIVE
Socrative is a free web app that offers more features than Geddit. See the intro video below, then explore this link for more video tutorials on each tool within Socrative!
Exit Ticket
Exit Ticket is another tool for formative assessment. It is full-featured, but many available features are NOT free. However, you can get a 30 day All-Access trial by registering at their site. Click Here for a review of pros and cons, or watch the video below:
PEAR DECK
Pear Deck is listed here again, because it includes some easy ways to get feedback from within a PowerPoint or Google Slides presentation. See more about Pear Deck on the Useful Apps and Add-ons page!
